This technical guide explains how to use Keydiy Clamp Adapters with KD-X4 or KD-Max, using the BDC02/BDC03 welding-free adapter as an example.With this adapter, you can perform key addition directly on the vehicle, no wiring or soldering required.
Step 1: Remove the Original Key Circuit Board
Carefully disassemble the original vehicle key and take out the circuit board.
Step 2: Install the Circuit Board onto the Adapter Card
1. Place the circuit board onto the adapter card.
2. Make sure the circuit board is seated correctly.
3. Slide both sides of the adapter inward to secure the board.
4. Check carefully that all pins are aligned one-to-one.
Tip: Incorrect pin alignment may cause data reading failure.
Step 3: Identify the Adapter Interfaces
The clamp adapter has two interfaces for connection.
Step 4: Connect to KD-X4
If you are using KD-X4, simply plug the adapter directly into the KD-X4 port.
Once connected, you can proceed with data reading and key programming.
Step 5: Connect to KD-Max
If you are using KD-Max, a connecting cable is required:
Connect the adapter to the cable.
Plug the cable into the KD-Max.
Read the data through the adapter connection.
