The Lonsdor BDC3 Solder-Free Clip enables the K518PRO/K518 Series to copy genuine/OEM BDC3 keys marked “Hungary” without any soldering. While BDC3 OEM keys must be cloned using this solder-free clip, BCP keys still require traditional soldering.
Step 1: Disassemble the Original Key
Begin by taking apart the original BMW key. After opening the back cover, remove the battery to expose the internal board.
Step 2: Identify a Genuine BDC3 Key
Inside the key, you will find a “Hungary” marking on the PCB. This marking indicates that the key was manufactured in Hungary.
This is the key identifier for a genuine BMW BDC3 key—only genuine BDC3 keys with the Hungary marking can be cloned.
Step 3: Attach the Lonsdor BDC03 Solder-Free Clip
To clone the OEM BDC3 key, use the Lonsdor BDC03 Solder-Free Clip.
The clip features four pins that correspond to the four designated holes on the BDC3 key.
Align the pins with the holes and clamp the key securely.
Step 4: Connect to the K518PRO
Once the clip is properly attached, connect the solder-free clip to the K518PRO using the K518PRO cable.
With the clip connected, you can proceed with key cloning using the K518PRO/K518 Series device.
