The Xhorse XDMPR8GL MQB RH850/V850 Adapter is a versatile tool designed for use with the Xhorse Multi Prog programmer. It allows users to read MQB 48/MQB 49/5C dashboards without the need to cut wires or lift pins, which simplifies the process and reduces the risk of damaging the components. This adapter is compatible with various VW models, including:
  • VW Gen4 Johnson Controls
  • 34XX series
  • MQB 34xx series
  • MQB-RH850 (R7F) series
The Xhorse VVDI2 can be used in conjunction with this adapter to create dealer keys and add new keys by using the encrypted IMMO data that has been read out. This capability is particularly useful for automotive locksmiths and technicians who need to perform key programming and IMMO (immobilizer) data processing efficiently and securely


Take an example for  1402 instrument



Step 1: Connect devices, 1402 dashboard and PC

Run Multi- Prog software

Select Device>> 1402>> MQB-LOCK (R7F701402)- READ (VW-> MQB)>> Detail



Check Connection diagram



Follow the diagram to remove the 8 capacitors using a tweezer and heat gun



Scrape of the PCB mask before soldering the GND wire to the soldering point

Solder the wires of Xhorse MQB RH850/V850 Cable to the corresponding position on 1402 dashboard PCB according to the diagram

Secure the wires with acetate tape





Connect MQB RH850/V850 Adapter to Multi-Prog Programmer

Connect Multi-Prog and VVDI2 Programmer to the PC using different USB cables separately

Supply 12V power to Multi Prog as well







Step 2: Read chip data

Click on “Crack Reading”

Decode the chip and read the chip data successfully (time taken: 4min 1s 583ms)

Click on “Save file” to save the chip data





Step 3:

Read IMMO data by VVDI2 software

Open VVDI2 software and select “VW”

Select Key Learn>> MQB platform instrument immobilizer>> Instrument with locked NEC35xx (MQB48, VDO/JCI)



Click on “Decode immodata”

Click on “Yes” to load the encrypt data read by Xhorse Multi-Prog



Open the file
Save the IMMO data file after decoding



Then you can use the data to make dealer key and add key in sequence.
